Background

Ranjana accomplished her Master of Technology degree in the Department of Chemical Engineering from National Institute Technology Durgapur, India. She is pursuing Doctorate degree in Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institution of Roorkee,India  and Visiting Commonwealth Research Scholar in Energy and Power, School of Water, Energy and Environment (SWEE),Cranfield University, UK. During Doctorate, She is engaged in the experimental and numerical analysis of interfacial dynamics of two-phase (air-liquid ) and three-phase ( air-liquid –liquid) gravity-driven flow. In addition, numerical research in fluid-solid interaction using the open-source software OpenFoam. She has published four research article in peer reviewed journal with one Indian patent and eight International /National conferences


Current activities


She is carrying out her Doctorate work in Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institution of Roorkee,India under the supervision of Dr. Sumana Ghosh and Visiting Commonwealth Research Scholar in Energy and Power, School of Water, Energy and Environment (SWEE),Cranfield University, UK under supervision of Dr. Patrick Verdin. Her main research topic is CFD simulation of wave energy converter with optimize PTO damping.
