Contact Ramaakaant Beekarry
Background
Ramaakaant Beekarry is a doctoral researcher at the Centre of Thermal Power and Propulsion, currently pursuing his research in experimental icing research. More explicitly, the PhD topic is around the characterisation of supercooled large droplet impact on various surfaces, aiming the improve new generation icing codes through an enhanced experimental database.
Prior to joining Cranfield University, Ramaakaant spent 5 years in France during the course of his tertiary education, obtaining his Bachelor's in Applied Mechanics from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and his Master's of Aerospace Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon. Moreover, during his master thesis, Ramaakaant worked on the simulation of the fragmentation of a liquid jet by a gas stream using the Lattice Boltzmann Method. Thereby, solidifying his background in fluid mechanics and droplet dynamics which further explains the begining of his academic journey at Cranfield University.
