Lieutenant Colonel Prathap Latchmanan is a doctoral researcher at Cranfield University’s Centre for Defence and Security. He studies how to ethically adapt military leadership practices to enhance crisis leadership in the public sector, particularly for Singapore's homeland security and healthcare systems. His research involves case studies, expert interviews, and collaborative methods to develop a leadership framework that emphasises anticipatory thinking and links defence, governance, and organisational learning. With his background in joint training, operational planning, and command in the Singapore Armed Forces, he aims to improve our understanding and practice of crisis governance, ethical leadership, and organisational resilience.
