Namuk completed his BSc in Aerospace Engineering from Korea Aerospace University. During his first degree, he undertook a three-month research period at Autonomous Mircrobotic Systems Laboratory in University of Southern California. He moved on to complete his MSc in Aerospace dynamics at Cranfield University with a concentration in Flight Dynamics and Control. His MSc thesis focused on the scheduled flight control system of tilt-VTOL personal air vehicle where handling qualities are fit for a flight-naïve pilot. Namuk has returned to Cranfield to pursue a PhD in Aerospace with his research interest in high-fidelity eVTOL aircraft, handling qualities, stability and control.
Namuk is carrying out his PhD research within the Dynamics, Simulation and Control Group at Cranfield University. His PhD research focuses on handing quality, training, and certification requirement of AAM related to propulsion system.
