Background

I am a doctoral researcher at Cranfield University, investigating economic and sustainable approaches to explosive waste management. My research builds on a career in explosive ordnance engineering, risk management and maritime / underwater engineering.

I served for 20 years in the British Army, including six years as an Ammunition Technical Officer and Explosive Ordnance Disposal operator. I also served as an Army Diver and finished as the Pan-Army Maritime Risk Lead. I am now the director of PM Services, which provides maritime and underwater engineering expertise, especially where it overlaps with Defence and Security or underwater explosive hazards.

I hold a BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton and an MSc in Explosive Ordnance Engineering from Cranfield University.
