Contact Michael Chan

Background

Michael studied civil engineering at the University of Sheffield and obtained an MEng with second-upper honours, with a dissertation on spatial rainfall analysis and the suitability of design rainfall in a small urban catchment. He continued his studies at Cranfield University, where he received a studentship to work under the Urban Turbine research project to pursue a master of research (MRes) degree in the future role of airports. 

Current activities

Michael is a research master’s student at Cranfield’s Digital Aviation Research and Technology Centre (DARTeC), under the Urban Turbine research project. His focus is on off-airport services along the journey between the airport and the city, aiming to improve airport operation infrastructure, models and algorithms.
