Background
Mariusz received MEng in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University, with a thesis on the development of particle image velocimetry software, and a PhD from Cranfield University with a thesis on using synthetic data for drone detection with machine learning methods. Mariusz has worked for Red Bull Racing developing aerodynamic tools, and L3Harris on the avionics of full flight simulators, primarily on the A350.
Current activities
Mariusz is now a Research Fellow at the Centre for Assured and Connected Autonomy, studying the application of reinforcement learning for the autonomous navigation of drones in adversarial conditions, human-machine interaction, and explainability.
