Background
Mandy has worked for Cranfield Library Service since 2004 and is a Research Support Librarian supporting researchers and research students at Cranfield Defence and Security and the School of Management.
She teaches a range of information literacy and study skills, as well as helping researchers use the resources they need to find information. She provides advice on REF and funder compliance, open access and other research-related topics.
Current activities
She co-organises events such as the Defence and Security Doctoral Symposium (DSDS), the Research Support Networking Event and provides additional sessions through the CDS Doctoral Community.
Mandy sits on various project groups that develop research support and study skills, including LITR (Library, IT and the Research and Innovation Office) and the Study Skills Project Group.
She is Chair of the external DARTS (Discovering Academic Research Training and Support) committee, through which she co-organises the biennial DARTS conference.
