Contact M. Ebubekir Torbali
Areas of expertise
- Aerospace Structures
Background
Ebubekir Torbali obtained his BSc in Mechanical Engineering Department of Bursa Uludag University, Turkey (2014). He worked for Turkish Airlines Technic as a maintenance engineer over a year and moved on to get his MSc in Bursa Technical University (2019). Here, he studied energy materials and gained experience in chemical processes and materials about energy storage technologies. During his MSc, he worked as a research assistant at Bursa Technical University. Mr Torbali joined Cranfield University in September 2020 as a researcher studying on learning-based structural inspection systems.
Current activities
PhD Student, Cranfield University
He is studying learning methods in non-destructive ultrasonic inspection systems for structural materials in the aerospace field. His research focus is on getting a high-resolution defect detection algorithm by combining data coming from Phased Array inspection and Infrared Thermography inspection.
