BackgroundLucy completed an MSc in Water and Sanitation for Development in 2018 and has worked on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects in India, Ethiopia, Uganda, and groundwater supply projects Bangladesh, Sierra Leone and South Sudan.
Lucy has a particular interest in water supply in challenging environments and protracted humanitarian crises. Through her experiences, she has developed a natural curiosity to understand systems and how we can encourage smarter use of natural resources through a proactive, rather than reactive approach. Lucy aims to support decision-makers, practitioners and researchers with tools and the evidence-base needed to extend climate-resilient water supply services to communities in challenging environments.
Lucy is currently developing her research around water resource management in protracted refugee crises to better understand and reimagine the future of water supply systems in long-term refugee camps.
