Background

Kim earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Abuja and a master's degree in public administration policy from the Defence Academy in Kaduna, Nigeria.

He is currently conducting research in the field of energy and power, focusing on Multi-level Governance Perspectives of Community Renewable Energy (CRE) in Nigerian Local Government Areas.

Renewable energy (RE) policies, Community Renewable Energy (CRE), renewable energy alternatives, environmental economics, sustainable energy in developing countries, national energy transition strategies, and their socio-technical linkages are all topics that he is interested in. He also has expertise in analysing the roles, connections, and synergies across RE Policy actors, as well as improving rural energy access and citizen participation in the energy transition.
