Background

Jon has a varied industrial background in electronics, embedded control systems, and management across several sectors, predominantly in low-emission automotive (EV, HEV, FCEV, CleanICE). He has also worked at InnovateUK designing funding interventions to support UK Automotive's development of clean propulsion technologies, and subsequently ran the BEIS-funded Digital Engineering and Test Centre (DETC) within Loughborough University London. Jon also ran his own business, InnConA Ltd, to deliver bespoke engineering and business change programs before coming to Cranfield University in October 2020.

He is currently the Programme Director for the £69M Cranfield Hydrogen Integration Incubator (CH2i), Cranfield's largest funding win to date, which will enable construction of new gaseous & liquid hydrogen R&D facilities on campus including large experimental areas for LH2 R&D for civil aviation. Jon holds an MBA (distn) from University of East Anglia.
