Background

James studied BSc. Environmental Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he graduated as the best student in the Department of Environmental Science. He had his MSc. in Sustainable Management of Pollution at JUNIA-ISA, France. During his MSc, he conducted a 6-month research internship on Biological Water Quality Monitoring using advanced qPCR technology in the Czech Republic. James is a research student at Cranfield University, studying the integration of Dark Fermentation as a Platform Technology for biorefinery in the wastewater industry.

Research opportunities

His research interests are in sustainable water resource management, with a focus on bioresource recovery from sludge and wastewater treatment.

Current activities

James is currently a research student at the Cranfield Water Science Institute. His Ph.D. project focuses on the optimization of the dark fermentation process for volatile acid recovery and its application as a biorefinery technology in sludge treatment centres.
