Background

I work on a single problem from two directions. As a researcher, I study how complex systems fail: the dependency structures, cascade trajectories, and intervention windows that determine whether an organisation, a force, or an infrastructure holds or collapses under pressure. This work is formalised in the Operational Continuity and Turnaround Architecture (OCTA), a domain-free quantitative model for real-time cascade failure measurement and intervention window prediction. OCTA is being stress-tested through TYRAXE, a navigation and communications resilience platform addressing three coupled dependency layers: positioning continuity, resilient mesh communications, and distributed decision support under degraded conditions. Patent pending.

As an executive, I bring thirty years across Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba, Motorola, Nissan and Nestlé, and a succession of financial services and fintech engagements. European Commission Seal of Excellence in AI.

Research opportunities

Cascade failure prediction in coupled operational systems. Intervention window estimation. Dependency structure modelling. Operational continuity under GNSS degradation and communications loss. Cross-domain application of OCTA to aviation, critical infrastructure, financial services , automotive manufacturing, oil and gas, and defence.

Current activities

PhD research at Cranfield University developing OCTA: a quantitative model for real-time cascade failure prediction and intervention window estimation. Validation programme covering civil aviation, critical infrastructure, financial services and defence. Founder of TYRAXE, a navigation and communications resilience platform. Patent pending.
