Hisham Mohsin was awarded first class with honours in Aeronautical Engineering BEng (Hons) at City, University of London in 2020. To specialise in aerodynamics further, Hisham moved to Cranfield University and completed an MSc in Aerospace Dynamics the following year. There, he refined and developed skills in programming, MATLAB, Python and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using high-fidelity software like ANSYS Fluent.
During this time, Hisham worked at several world-leading, multi-national companies. He gained work experience in BMW Dubai as a vehicle technician and support engineer. In this customer-facing role he provided technical support to solve repair requests, gaining valuable experience in customer service and fault diagnosis. In addition, Hisham developed wider skills in warehouse and inventory management as a sortation associate at Amazon in Milton Keynes.
Hisham’s breadth of teamwork experience includes producing new methods to renovate/build houses in deprived areas of Kiberia, Kenya and was honoured to win the Built Environment Challenge for Engineers Without Borders through this group project. Other examples include designing and optimising glider wings.
Currently, Hisham is pursuing an MPhil in Aerospace with Cranfield, focussing on novel transonic flow control devices to improve aviation safety and environmental sustainability.
