Contact Haroun El Mir
Haroun completed his BSc in Mechanical Engineering at the American University of Sharjah, with a focus on Aircraft Stability & Propulsion. He worked right after this degree as a research assistant for 6 moths in Composite Materials and participated in a Conference with a Publication on improving the buckling strength of honeycomb cores through on-site lab and software testing while 3D designing and printing several samples. Moving thereon to Cranfield University for an MSc in Aerospace Vehicle Design with a concentration in Avionics Systems Design, he worked on Landing Gear fatigue prediction using modelling and FE software, later prsuing a PhD in Transport Systems, seeking the continuation of his MSc Thesis and integrating it with a neural network approach & SHM application.
Haroun El Mir is a PhD research student at Cranfield University's Transport Systems department, specializing in how to apply Landing Gear SHM monitoring and Certification using neural networks and Machine Learning.
