Background

A Mechatronics technician with international accreditation in Architecture due to her professional background, Gracinda also studied Engineering Physics and real estate Management. After completing a Mechatronics HND, she toke on the role of instrumentation Technician which is undertaken at the numerous AVEC facilities. She assists research work and student's projects with electronics, electrical and hand-fittings.

After having had the experience of assembling motorcycle batteries with 18650 cells, she developed a special interest in these vehicles and this technology, having registered her own design and patent for an electric motorcycle.

Collaborative and creative, Gracinda has an entrepreneurial spirit and a multi-disciplined vision of problems, and always aims for simple practical solutions, prioritizing tidiness and communication. In 2015 she filed a patent of a 3D printer for building habitable modules on Mars using a raw misture of regolith, water and binders, which she hopes to see at work on the red planet some day in the future.
