Background


Educated at the University of Plymouth, Gary graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Transport before continuing with a SERC funded MPhil post-graduate research project on the passenger perception of airline service levels in the UK and USA in conjunction with MIT and the University of California.  

After completing his post-graduate research, Gary worked for thirty years in the aviation industry. During this period he held several different  management positions in Market Research, Commercial Planning, Market Development, Key Account Management, International Sales and Marketing and Ground Services in various parts of the world including the UK, Scandinavia, Netherlands and the Asia-Pacific Region based in Singapore. 

Gary joined Cranfield University as Senior Lecturer in Air Transport Management in 2019.
