Festus Ifeanyi Anagwu is a PhD researcher in sustainable advanced polymers and composites for aerospace applications at Cranfield University under the supervision of Dr Alex A. Skordos and Prof. Vijay Kumar Thakur. He is currently researching for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Manufacturing. Prior to commencing at Cranfield University, Anagwu worked as a lecturer of chemical engineering at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri Nigeria. He received BEng in chemical engineering at Anambra State University, Uli (now Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University) Uli, graduating with second class Honours (Upper Division, 2¹) and becoming the valedictorian of his class in 2006. Anagwu later proceeded to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, where he received MEng in chemical engineering. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers and the Nigerian Society of Engineers. Anagwu has written some published conference and journal articles as well as authored two books on the subjects of unit operations and water treatment technology. Anagwu is a recipient of the Federal Government of Nigeria's TETFund overseas scholarship for doctoral research at Cranfield University, United Kingdom.
Under the supervision of Dr Alex A. Skordos and Prof. Vijay Kumar Thakur, Anagwu is currently researching sustainable, smart, functional vitrimers and vitrimeric composites basically for aerospace applications but also for other industries such as automotive industry, civil engineering, electronics, oil and gas, and beyond.
