Farid Bin Esa

Background

Farid earned Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University Technology of PETRONAS, Malaysia in 2009 with major in Instrumentation & Control. Then in 2014, he received his MSc in Automotive Mechatronics from Cranfield University, United Kingdom.

Before re-joining Cranfield as PhD Research Student, he has vast professional working experience in automotive and oil & gas industries. He served 7 years in PROTON Motorsports starting as engine & vehicle calibration engineer then promoted to Head of Engineering department and total of 4 years experience in PETRONAS which his last position as Project Leader / Manager for autonomous research for oil and gas application.

Current activities

Farid currently doing research in autonomous vehicle which he specifically looking into motion planning part of it.
