Background
I am a PhD researcher in Environmental sustainability and climate emergency within the Centre for Energy Systems and Strategy at Cranfield University. My research focuses on the governance of airport decarbonisation, examining how policies, institutional arrangements and stakeholder decisions shape transitions to low-carbon fuels and energy infrastructure.
Research opportunities
My research interests focus on airport decarbonisation and governing low-carbon energy transitions. I am interested in how policy, institutional arrangements and stakeholder coordination influence infrastructure investment and decision-making under uncertainty.
Key areas include:
• Airport energy systems and low-carbon fuel transitions
• Energy and climate policy
• Governance and stakeholder coordination
• Socio-technical transitions and environmental justice
• Infrastructure planning and investment under uncertainty
• System dynamics and Agent-based modelling
Current activities
I am currently developing the research framework and literature review protocol for my doctoral study on airport decarbonisation governance. My current work focuses on identifying relevant literature, refining research questions and planning an approach that combines qualitative research with system dynamics and agent-based modelling. Alongside this, I am building my knowledge of airport energy systems, low-carbon fuel transitions and the policies and institutional arrangements that influence infrastructure decisions.
