Contact Ebenezer Mayowa Adebayo

Areas of expertise

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Gas Turbines & Propulsion

Background

He received his Bachelors and Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering with honors  from Russian top Aerospace university- Samara National Research University. His Master degree was focused on Aircraft Jet Engines.

Before joining Cranfield University as a Phd researcher student, he worked briefly as a trainee Engineer at Aerocontractor Airlines, Nigeria before he became a lecturer at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering in Kwara State University in NIgeria (Nigeria first  university to offer Aeronautical Enngineering).

He has studied from his undergraduate to his current Phd on scholarship and have being a recipient of several awards during his undergraduate and postgraduate days in Russia.

Research opportunities

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics in  Aerospace, Energy and Oil and Gas.
  • Development of High-Order Numerical Methods for multiphase flow.
  • Finite Volume
  • Aircraft Engines
  • Aerodynamics
  • Aircraft systems

Current activities

Mayowa is carrying out his PhD research within Cranfield's Centre for Computational Engineering and Sciences , within Cranfield School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing.  His PhD research focuses on how to implement high-fidelity numerical methods using Finite-volume methods to solve multiphase and multispecies problems encountered in energy, aerospace and automotive sectors using the diffuse interface models (DIM). The schemes and governing equations will be implemented into the existing open-source computational framework (UCNS3D).
