Background
Ying was awarded her PhD in Environmental Engineering at The University of Wollongong in 2023. Also, she completed a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering in 2019 (Institute of Soil Science, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering in 2016 (North University of China). Currently, she was a research fellow in wastewater surveillance at Cranfield Water Science Institute, and now a research fellow in biodetection technology at Environment Center in Cranfield University. Her current research interest is on characterising airborne VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and developing approaches for bioaerosol detection across environmental settings.
