Background
Susan graduated from the University of Paisley in Applied Chemistry and then completed her MSc in Advanced Analytical Chemistry at the University of Aberdeen. Following on from this she obtained her PhD entitled 'Effect of Gamma Irradiation on the Prepolymer POLYNIMMO' at Cranfield University. Susan joined Cranfield University in 2001 as a researcher in fuel cells. Her current role is Chemical Laboratory Manager.
Current activities
Susan is the COSHH advisor at CDS. She manages an excellent team of technicians who support teaching activities at CDS. They assist with laboratory practicals and carry out class demonstrations for several of the courses taught at CDS.
