Contact Dr Sergio Jimeno Altelarrea
Background
Sergio Jimeno Altelarrea PhD, began his academic journey with a Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Subsequently, he earned an MSc in Aerospace Dynamics from Cranfield University and a PhD in Aerospace from the same institution.
Research opportunities
His research interests revolve around methods for the conceptual design and analysis of complex systems, with a current focusing on aircraft powered by alternative fuels. He has contributed to the development of advanced Model-based Design tools such as AirCADia.
Sergio Jimeno is currently working on the ONEheart research project, where he is developing desing methods for aircraft using novel, more sutainable energy sources.
