Contact Dr Sarah Gosling

Background

Sarah completed an integrated Masters in Biology (MBiol) at Durham University in 2018, achieving a first-class degree. Her Masters' thesis had a focus on nuclear gene expression in breast cancer, and she continues to have an interest in cancer biology. Sarah began her PhD at Cranfield in September 2018 continuing her focus on breast cancer from a physicochemical perspective.

Current activities

Sarah is carrying out her PhD titled 'Microcalcifications as novel biomarkers for breast cancer' within the Cranfield Forensic Institute in Cranfield Defence and Security. Her PhD primarily uses X-ray diffraction to investigate the differing material properties of calcium phosphate deposits in different breast tissue pathologies.
