Background
Dr. Mudassir Raza holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering - RF & Signal processing from The Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI)-JAXA which he received in 2021. Earlier, he earned his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) in 2011 and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering - RF & Signal Processing in 2018.
Dr. Mudassir Raza had worked as a Mobile Network Performance Engineer, Electronic/Instrumentation Proposal Engineer, and Electrical Engineer prior to joining Cranfield University in 2023 as a Research Fellow in position, navigation and timing. He possesses a multi-disciplinary engineering and research background in various fields, including:
Electrical Engineering, Digital Twin, Industrial Operation and Maintenance, Virtual Reality, Digital Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Power generation, Navigation Systems, Antennas, Phased Array antennas, Beamforming, Space-Based Solar Power, RF front-end measurements/selection/development, etc.
Current activities
Within the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Dr. Mudassir Raza is a research fellow in Extended Reality. With a strong background in power generation and digital twin modeling, he is presently focused on developing extended reality (XR) capability and VR demonstrators to transform the training process for battery manufacture in the automotive industry.
