  • Sustainable Manufacturing

Background

Martin is passionate about novel materials, especially Metallic Glasses and High-Entropy Alloys, as well as sustainability. He holds a Diploma in Physics and a PhD in Thin-Film Metallic Glasses from Chemnitz University of Technology (Germany) and a PhD in Bulk Metallic Glasses from Cranfield University. His current research at Cranfield University focusses on the development of novel metallic alloys to accelerate our journey to the net-zero future with a special focus on nuclear fusion. He specialises in High-temperature and High-density Bulk Metallic Glasses (HTBMGs; HDBMGs) as well as High-Entropy Alloys (HEAs), Multiple Principle Element Alloys (MPEAs).

Martin is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, the Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A, the Journal of Cleaner Production and Procedia CIRP.
