Contact Dr M. Ebubekir Torbali
Areas of expertise
- Aerospace Structures
- Vehicle Health Management
Background
Ebubekir Torbali obtained his BSc in Mechanical Engineering Department of Bursa Uludag University, Turkiye (2014). He worked for Turkish Airlines Technic as a maintenance engineer for over a year and moved on to get his MSc in Bursa Technical University (2019). Here, he studied energy materials and gained experience in chemical processes and materials about energy storage technologies. During his MSc, he worked as a research assistant at Bursa Technical University. Mr Torbali joined Cranfield University in September 2020 as a researcher studying multi-modal Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for aerospace structures. He holds a PhD awarded in 2025 and currently works as a Research Fellow in NDT and Machine Learning at Cranfield University's IVHM Centre.
