Background

Jacob completed his doctoral studies at the University of Manchester graduating in 2019. He then spent time as a cyber security consultant delivering pen-testing and information assurance services to government bodies. He then moved to the National Cyber Crime Unit at the NCA to work as a Cyber Engineer; during this time Jacob focused on designing and building cyber deception environments.

Research opportunities

Jacob is exploring how the intelligent design of deceptive cyber environments can influence adversarial behavior.

Current activities

Jacob is a Lecturer in Cyberspace Operations at Cranfield University at the Defence Academy of the UK
