Iftikhar Ahmad is an accomplished academic and researcher with expertise in Wireless Communication, Computer Science and Software Engineering. He earned his BS in Computer Science from the University of Malakand and an MS in Software Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, where he developed a strong foundation in research and teaching.
He completed his PhD at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow. His doctoral research, titled “Leveraging Machine Learning and Computer Vision for Advanced UAV Communications,” focuses on innovative solutions in UAV-assisted next-generation wireless networks, 5G and beyond communication technologies, and AI-driven methodologies for advanced connectivity.
Recognized as a Global Talent by the Royal Society of Engineering, Iftikhar is dedicated to driving advancements in his field. His research interests span UAV-assisted networks, machine learning for wireless communication, software project management, behavioral software engineering, and global software engineering.
With a career that includes roles as a research assistant, lecturer, and Research Fellow, Iftikhar currently contributes to cutting-edge research in Satellite Navigation at Cranfield University's Centre for Autonomous and Cyber-Physical Systems.
