Background
Dr Fernandes holds a master’s degree in computer science from the Federal University of Uberlandia (Brazil) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Laval University (Canada). He is currently a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Automated NDT & SHM for Predictive Maintenance at Cranfield University (UK). He collaborates with the Graduate Program in Computer Science of the Federal University of Uberlandia (Brazil). He recently won a prestigious fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Germany).
