Dr Gabriele Voto achieved a MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Napoli ‘Federico II’ and an EngD in Composites Manufacture at Cranfield University. He has been working both in industry and academia becoming a technical expert in thermoset matrix cure simulation, cure cycle optimisation and high-performance composites manufacturing process.
Dr Gabriele Voto is a Research Fellow in Composites Processing working on the development of simulation platforms to optimise composites process manufacturing. He is currently working on an EPSRC funded research project entitled ‘Layer by Layer Curing’ to target the challenges associated with accelerating the rate of production of CFRP aerostructures merging deposition, consolidation and curing stages in a single-value added manufacturing step. He is interested in bridging the gap between academia and industry undertaking research applied to real industrial needs.
