Background

Dr Emma Hare is the Head of Research Excellence within Cranfield University's Research and Innovation Office. She leads the Research Excellence Team, which oversees matters of research governance, ethics and integrity; supports the development of bids to public sector funders, charitable bodies and learned societies; and ensures the co-ordination of Cranfield’s research assessment and impact activities.

Emma joined Cranfield University in July 2019 from Queen Mary University of London, where she held the post of Head of Research Strategy and Policy and Executive Officer to the Vice-Principal for Research (2014-2019). Prior to that, Emma held a number of successive roles overseeing the undergraduate, postgraduate and research services support functions within the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences at QMUL.
