Areas of expertise

Dr Boghi is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Atmospheric Informatics and Emissions Technology, School of Water, Energy and Environment.

He obtained his BSc and Msc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Here, he also gained his MSc in Thermal Fluid Dynamics and PhD in Engineering of Energy and Environment.

During this period, he was also a teaching assistant for three different courses: Thermal Fluid Dynamics of Biological Systems; Computational Methods in Thermal Fluid Dynamics; and Technical Physics. He was a Post-doc Research Fellow in Tor Vergata for a short period, involved in a project concerning LES of submerget jets.

In 2010, he moved to the University of Southampton, UK, where he worked as Post-doc Research Fellow in Numerical Modelling of Multiphase Flows for a EPSRC project. In 2012, he started to work as Post-doc Research Fellow In Multi-Scale Modelling in the Institut de Mecanique des Fluides de Toulouse supported by Foundation STAE.

In October 2013, he became Senior Research Fellow in Computational Multiphase Fluid Dynamics at Cranfield University.

Current activities

Dr Boghi is currently involved in various CFD research and consultancy projects in multi-phase flows. He is also involved in supervising PhD and MSc students in Cranfield and in Rome Tor Vergata.
