Background
Deborah Ayodele holds BSc degree in Water Resources Management from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria. After completing her degree, she went on to pursue a joint master’s degree in Water Science and Engineering from Unesco-IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, The Netherlands, Instituto Superior Tecnico Lisbon, Portugal, and Technische Universitat Dresden, Germany. After completing her degree, she worked as a WASH support officer for the International Organization for Migration where she was involved in a multi-stakeholder process of mainstreaming gender in WASH, and a project on Closing the Loop of Sustainable Procurement in Displacement Settings Using Innovative Finance with private sector partners.
She is currently building on her initial exploration of institutional aspects, stakeholder management, and nature-based solutions through her PhD on "Community-based Co-design of Small-scale Wastewater Systems".
