Background

Chris has over 18 years of experience as an audio visual (AV) technician. At Cranfield he has been the senior editor within the School of Management’s commercial-quality AV studio, working with MBA students on the filmed ‘crisis management’ simulations, and on videoed student presentations. Chris has worked extensively with members of Cranfield faculty to produce filmed teaching-collateral, interviews between faculty and industry experts, as well as CEOs on location.

Chris is currently the principal AV architect with Cranfield’s new venture into live online teaching. Chris is pioneering the use of next generation technology, including virtual studios, networked video technology, and remote broadcasting. In combination, these technologies are being customised to deliver accredited programmes from a newly built facility.

Major assignments include:

  • Designing and building the AV solution to deliver a custom programme for BAE Systems graduate engineers.
  • Exploiting NDI technologies to put Cranfield faculty on the devices of our students, and corporate clients, in real-time.
  • Producing professional show-reels and corporate videos that display Cranfield’s expertise both on campus and on the University’s website.
