Bryn Nicol

Background

Prior to joining Cranfield University, Bryn graduated with a BSc in Genetics from Swansea University in 2020. Then going on to complete an MSc in Microbiology from The University of Aberdeen in 2021. After graduating, Bryn gained practical experience as a research technician in the genetic engineering department of 4D Pharma,  assisting with creating and transformation of genetically modified gut bacteria.

Current activities

Bryn is currently pursuing his PhD with Cranfield's Centre for Defence Chemistry. His research focuses on the production and nitration of bacterial cellulose for use within the defence industry.
