Background

Blessing Mobolaji has a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She worked as a scientist at the water treatment plant of the University College Hospital, Ibadan for over a decade. Her passion for the environment informed her decision to complete a Master’s degree in Water and Wastewater Engineering at Cranfield University. Her MSc thesis was based on characterising organics and disinfection by-products in drinking water treatment. Her Bachelor’s degree was also in Biochemistry, from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria. 

Current activities

Blessing Mobolaji is a current PhD student at Cranfield Water Science Institute (CWSI) associated with the Water Infrastructure and Resilience (WIRe) Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) https://cdtwire.com. Her research centres around the management of nitrous oxide emissions in a novel wastewater treatment bioreactor. The aim is to develop mitigation measures to minimise greenhouse gas emissions to reduce impact on climate change, as a strategy towards attaining Net Zero Emissions wastewater treatment.
