Contact Blessing Mobolaji


Blessing Mobolaji has a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She worked as a scientist at the water treatment plant of the University College Hospital, Ibadan for over a decade. Her passion for the environment informed her decision to complete a Master’s degree in Water and Wastewater Engineering at Cranfield University. Her MSc thesis was based on characterising organics and disinfection by-products in drinking water treatment. Her Bachelor’s degree was also in Biochemistry, from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria. 

Current activities

Blessing Mobolaji is a current PhD student at Cranfield Water Science Institute (CWSI) associated with the Water Infrastructure and Resilience (WIRe) Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) Her research centres around the management of nitrous oxide emissions in a novel wastewater treatment bioreactor. The aim is to develop mitigation measures to minimise greenhouse gas emissions to reduce impact on climate change, as a strategy towards attaining Net Zero Emissions wastewater treatment.
