Background

I am a Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Air Transport Management, working on analysing the risk of climate hazards to airport systems. I hold a BSc in earth sciences, an MSc in environmental planning and infrastructure design, and an MSc by Research in airport environmental strategy assessment and water management efficiency.

I work as a climate risk and resilience consultant advising organisations about physical risks from climate change, helping them understand their climate risk challenges and develop suitable plans to build further adaptability. Before that, I held consulting and management roles, supporting organisations to become more sustainable, develop new services in the environmental domain, build capabilities, influence and expand globally.

Current activities

My research focuses on the development of an indicator-based tool to support airports in identifying, analysing and assessing potential risks relating to climate hazards, such as flooding (coastal and/or inland), extreme temperature, storms and extreme wind, extreme snowfall, and drought/water scarcity.
