Aoxiang graduated from Newcastle University with Distinction in Automation and Control. While studying at Newcastle University, Aoxiang focused on designing digital control systems with advanced control theory and stochastic state estimation. In his individual project, he managed to apply Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) to the low rotational speed control of a brushed DC motor without position feedback after the system identification. His thesis was then scored highest. After his success in linear system, Aoxiang has now extended his research in nonlinear system and artificial intelligence.
Aoxiang is currently pursuing a PhD in nonlinear system identification for data-driven control and decision making. His aim is to develop a new framework to improve transparency and efficiency of nonlinear system identification with combining the polynomial approach and artificial intelligence.
