Background

I graduated from the University of Cordoba, in Spain, as Agricultural Engineer, specialty in Food Science and Engineering. Then, I came to Cranfield University to do my MSc in Food Chain Systems. Besides gaining a deeper knowledge about Food Quality and how to better manage the Food Supply Chain, I had the opportunity to work with one of the biggest food industries in the world, PepsiCo, for my master's dissertation studying different imaging techniques to analyse potatoes.

After that, I worked as a Research Assistant within the Mycology group at Cranfield University studying Volatile Organic Compounds produced in soft fruits when infected by fungi.

Current activities

I am a Ph.D. Researcher studying Biomarkers of Postharvest Resilience and Flavour-Life in Citrus Fruits and Table Grapes within the Plant Science Laboratory at Cranfield University.
