Angela Laycock

Background

Angela Laycock is a Major in the British Army having commissioned from Sandhurst in 2006. Following a full time career in the Royal Engineers, she completed her Professional Engineer Training in 2015, becoming a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers. She became a Fellow of the Institution of Royal Engineers in 2022 and has experience in military engineer, force protection engineering and critical national infrastructure. Having worked as a military engineer and infrastructure specialist for 18 years, she is completing a full time PhD researching blast and ballistic design considerations of low carbon construction materials subject to terrorist threat.
