Background
Alexander received his bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering (BEng) from the University of Surrey, in 2019, completing his final year thesis on passive power extraction systems for aerospace applications.
Alexander completed his MSc in Aerospace Vehicle Design in 2020 with Cranfield University, specializing in aircraft conceptual design, secondary power distribution systems, as well as large-scale CAD applications.
He joined Cranfield University's Centre for Aeronautics as a PhD researcher on aerial combat systems design in 2021.
Alexander has been involved at an engineering capacity with a variety of defence-aerospace companies in Greece acquiring a holistic overview of the industry's best practices from a design, manufacturing, and business development perspective.
Throughout his academic and professional career, Alexander has participated in multiple multi-disciplinary aircraft design, defence acquisition and defence systems management projects.
Current activities
Alexander is currently conducting his PhD research on the exploration of the conceptual design space for next-generation high-performance aerial vehicles.
