Background
Ajay Kumar is a Lecturer in Vehicle Mobility in the Weapons and Vehicle Systems Group in the Centre for Defence Engineering.
He obtained a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune, India (1999) and an MSc in Automotive Engineering from Coventry University (2007).
Mr Kumar has significant industry experience and previously worked at Nissan and Jaguar Land Rover.
Current activities
Mr Kumar is the course director for MSc in Expeditionary Warfare Systems Engineering and Technology. This course is delivered by Cranfield University in the United States of America
Mr Kumar is the module leader for Military Vehicle Dynamics, part of the Military Vehicle Technology MSc, which he teaches in the UK and overseas.
Mr Kumar's current scholarly interest is looking at the effects of vehicle dynamics on intelligent vehicles.
