Background
Abhishek completed his BTech in Aerospace engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh India in 2018. While at Punjab Engineering College, Abhishek was an active member of the Aerospace technical society. Abhishek was also a Structural intern at Aerospace Development Establishment, Bengaluru. Abhishek also completed his capstone project by collaborating with Terminal Ballistic Research Laboratory, India.
He moved to the UK, to complete his MSc in Aerospace Vehicle Design from the Centre of Aeronautics, Cranfield University, in 2020. For his group project, he worked on the Fuel system design and integration for a supersonic business jet, and he also worked on the electrification of a Cessna 178 Skyhawk using MBSE (Model-Based System Engineering).
Abhishek has returned to Cranfield to pursue a PhD in 'Hybrid Electric Aircraft Propulsion: System and Architectures Integration.
Current activities
Abhishek is collaborating with his supervisor Dr Bahareh Zaghari and Dr Timoleon Kipouros for his PhD degree in Hybrid Electric Aircraft Propulsion: System and Architectures Integration, within the Centre of Propulsion and Thermal Power Engineering, at Cranfield University.
He is working to contribute toward FutPrint50, an EU Horizon 2020 project, in the areas of system engineering and integrations.

FutPrInt50 will advance the state of the art by identifying and developing technologies and configurations that will accelerate the entry-into-service of a commercial hybrid-electric aircraft in a class of up to 50 seats by 2035-40.
