TERA Evaluation of Gas Turbines in Trigeneration
Current activities
Research in the fields of alternative energy and thermally activated cooling and air conditioning systems, as well as research in industrial gas turbines.
Industrial gas turbine engines, can be used in applications to deliver electrical power heat and cold. The project objective here is to evaluate for a few Trigeneration applications the benefits of such an approach. The project will comprise three parts. The first will be collection of application data. The second part will comprise the conception and application of appropriate trigeneration cycles and the third a TERA comparison to make an assessment of the economic outcomes.
