Do I have to register to attend the Open Day?
Yes everyone should register if they wish to attend Open Day. If you would like to enquire about attending at short notice please get in contact the open day team: email@example.com
Can I bring guests?
Please feel free to bring along those who will be helping you to make the decision about where to study.
Is there parking onsite?
Free parking is available on site at our CMDC car park 3, which is a 6-7 minute walk to the venue (Vincent building 52a) Campus Map
What transport is available to get me to and from Cranfield?
Cranfield will be supplying a coach transfer to and from Bedford train station, the coach will depart at 9.15 from the bus stop at the front of Bedford station.
There is also the public UNO BUS service that runs regularly. Please see online time table : UNOBUS
I’m lost and need some assistance with directions?

What should I do once I’ve arrived and registered?
Once you have arrived and registered, if you would like to help yourself to tea/coffees and then take a seat in the auditorium ready for the welcome presentations. Staff will be on hand should you have any questions.
I have arrived late, and I’m not sure where I should be?
If you have arrived late, then please head to the registration desk located by the entrance with revolving door in the Vincent building atrium where a member of staff will be on hand to assist you.
Will there be somewhere safe for me to leave my belongings?
Yes; if you inform a member of staff at the registration desk then we can guide you to the luggage room – this will be kept locked throughout the day, if you wish to retrieve your belongings then please inform a member of staff, who will be happy to help.
Can I view the accommodation options available on campus?
Yes there will be accommodation tours running over lunch time; places are limited so we do recommend that you sign up for a time slot once you have registered. The accommodation desk will be opposite the registration desk, in the Vincent building.
Where can I get a Schedule for the Day?
The schedule for the day will be available online on the Open day page, and a printed copy will also be given to you on the day when you register. If you have any queries then please do get in touch and we will be happy to help firstname.lastname@example.org
Is there going to be a campus tour?
During the accommodation tour’s we run you will be able to see different areas of campus. You may also be able to see other facilities on campus during your theme showcase.
I would like to visit the library, where can I go to do this?
The library will be running drop in sessions over lunch time, so if you would like to view the facilities, please feel free to walk over. It’s opposite the Vincent building. Campus Map
What is a Theme showcase session?
The showcase session is a chance for you to gain some more information on your chosen subject area; the showcase sessions can be a combination of activities, presentations and facilities tours, led by academics.
Do you have overnight accommodation?
If you would like to book accommodation whilst visiting the open day then we are pleased to accommodation on the campus, which is within easy walking distance of lecture rooms and other facilities. To make an enquiry or booking, please contact the Cranfield Management Development Centre.

Will lunch be provided?
A complimentary lunch will be provided in the theme rooms in the Vincent building.
I have specific dietary requirements, who do I need to contact?

Are all courses represented at Open Day?
Our main Open Day covers all programmes that take place at our Bedfordshire campus.
What should I do if I have more than one course/area of interest?
When you register to attend we recommend you choose the course that is of most interest to you, because this will determine which theme showcase you take part in. However at lunch time you will be able to network with academics and students from all of our themes so you can find out some more information on any other areas you may be interested in.
I have some specific questions relating to my course/area of interest, how can I get these answered?
You will be joined by academics and current students during lunch time, each theme will all have a separate lunch room in the Vincent building, so feel free to move around for an opportunity to network and ask any questions to the relevant faculty and students.
I can no longer attend the open day but would still like to visit Cranfield?
If you are no longer able to attend the open day, please contact the open day team: email@example.com we can then supply you with future open days to attend.
Are there specific Open Days for particular programmes?
Our main Open Day covers all of our themes. A representative from Cranfield University at Shrivenham will be available to talk about our Defence and Security programmes. If you would like to check that a particular academic will be in attendance, particularly before you book travel arrangements, please do get in touch with us and we can help.
