The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Net Zero Aviation invites prospective research applicants to join an online information webinar introducing our PhD programme and newly announced research projects for the next student intake.

The webinar is designed for anyone interested in doctoral research at the forefront of sustainable and net zero aviation. The CDT Director and Manager will provide an overview of the CDT concept and explain how it differs from a traditional PhD, including the benefits of cohort‑based study, integrated training and industry engagement.

Attendees will gain insight into the four‑year programme structure, taught modules and training, and the student experience within the CDT. We will also share reflections from our first cohort and present an overview of current and upcoming PhD projects, alongside practical guidance for applicants.

The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions directly to the CDT leadership team.
