Do you know that there are over 50 million people worldwide living with dementia today? There are currently no disease-modifying treatments and 1 in 3 people born today will die with dementia if nothing changes.
Race Against Dementia was founded by Sir Jackie Stewart to raise and allocate funds to accelerate global research and development in the race to find a prevention or treatment for dementia. We aim to instil a ‘Formula 1 attitude’ of ambition and urgency into dementia science.
The Dementia research meets motorsports summit will bring together keynote speakers from dementia science, Government, motorsport education, Formula 1 and high-tech R&D – each leaders in their respective fields. Speakers will include:
- Sir Jackie Stewart
- Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing
- Sir James Dyson, Dyson Corporation
- Professor Selina Wray, University College London
- Professor David Llewellyn, Exeter University & The Alan Turing Institute
The afternoon with conclude with a Q&A for the panel, hosted and moderated by Natalie Pinkham.
